City Dog

Take part in a special 7 week course that will challenge you and your dog.  Each week, we’ll work on street and leash manners at different locations around the neighbourhood*.   Of course this training is seasonal – we don’t want to be out in the cold!

We will be working on motivation skills and keeping our dog’s attention and their application to already acquired skills such as heel, watch-me, stay and other commands.

 Rain or shine!  (But we don’t want you out in severe weather.  In this case we will reschedule for another day.)

 Who should participate in City Dog?

 You may wish to teach your dog to walk politely beside a stroller, or heel AND pay attention to you while walking along a busy street with pedestrians, playing children and busy stores and restaurants.

 Perhaps you have a Retriever and you would like to walk around a park without having to struggle with your dog’s inate desire to go flush out the ducks!

 Maybe you like to visit a park just to sit and watch the world go by.

You have taken Beginner Level (or have equivalent skills), or or perhaps you have done oodles of training indoors but would like a different type of challenge.

 If any of these scenarios sound like you, then this is the (prounounced ‘thee’) course for you!
