A-frame: equipment that has planks on both sides for
grip, with sturdy chains to keep it stable.
Your dog scampers up one side and down the other, touching the yellow
contact zone. |
Chute: A barrel with a lightweight fabric attached at one end that lays flat on the ground. Your dog ducks into the tunnel, burrows through the sheet and comes out the other end! |
Jumps: Agility hurdles come in an assortment of
appealing shapes and colours and are fast and fun! Some jumps test your dog’s ability to jump high,
or his ability to showcase long jumps. |
Pause Table: A raised table with a non-slip surface
tests your dog’s ability to stop and collect his thoughts before heading for
the next obstacle. |
Teeter (or see-saw): Just like the one you used to play on! Your dog climbs on, moves to the middle,
pivots the teeter downward and dismounts touching the 2 contact points. Challenging, don’t you think?! |
Tire Jump: A “tire” suspended by a frame that tests your
dog’s jumping accuracy. |
Tunnel:
The tunnel can be straight, curved or at right angles. You dog goes
through and exits at the other end. |
Dog Walk:
Used to increase body awareness, your dog goes up one side, across the
long plank, down the other side and touches both contact points. |
Weave Poles: Your dog whips through the weave poles,
weaving back and forth until he reaches the end. Weave poles demonstrate speed, flexibility
and control. |
