Pet First Aid Course
Would you be qualified to administer first aid to a pet if it were required?
Instructed by an Registered Veterinary Technician, this course is designed to give the pet lover the necessary information and skill required to stabilize an injured animal until qualified veterinary care is accessed.
Emphasis is placed on the prevention of illness and injury, the importance of early veterinary care and the appropriate restraining of an injured animal. Students will practice bandaging and rescue techniques with real animals at this one day “paws-on” course. Bring your own friendly pet or share one!
Course Content: Artificial Respiration, CPR, Airway Obstruction, Bleeding and Wounds, Shock, Poisoning, Eye & Ear Injuries, Bone & Joint Injuries, Preventative Medicine, Parasites, Injuries from Heat & Cold.
